Job Overview

This Cardiac Sonographer position is a hands on clinical role where you'll perform and analyze echocardiograms. You're the expert capturing the images that help diagnose and monitor heart conditions. The work is based in person at healthcare facilities throughout the Buffalo, NY area.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms on a diverse patient population, from routine screenings to critical cases.

• Analyze cardiac structures and function, taking preliminary measurements for physician review.
• Maintain detailed patient records within the electronic health record system, prioritizing accuracy.
• Calibrate and perform basic troubleshooting on ultrasound equipment, reporting any issues promptly.

Requirements

• You must be registered as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or possess your RCS credential.
• A minimum of one year of recent experience performing full echocardiograms in a hospital or clinic setting is required.
• Graduation from an accredited cardiac sonography program is necessary.
• The job involves prolonged standing, lifting patients for positioning, and fine motor control for precise transducer manipulation.
• You need to stay focused in situations where patients may be anxious or in discomfort.
