Alright, let's talk about this RN Unit Manager spot at Bushwick Center in Brooklyn, NY.

You'd be running the show for one of our units. That means handling the supervisory duties, making sure the care standards are met, and being the point person for your team and the residents. It's a role where you need to be comfortable looking at the big picture and diving into the details of individual cases.

What you'd do

• Take on all supervisory responsibilities for your assigned nursing unit.
• Help get new employee policies and procedures off the ground and make sure they're followed.
• Mentor nurses who are newer or have less experience; think of it as offering clinical guidance and career advice.
• Keep a close eye on resident records to monitor quality of care.
• Review individual resident cases as part of overseeing the overall care on the unit.
• When residents or their families have questions or concerns, you're who they talk to. You'll address those complaints or feedback directly.
• You'll also represent your unit's needs and interests when talking with upper level management.

The background we're hoping for

• A valid State RN License is non negotiable; you must have it.
• About three years in Long Term Care would be great. We prefer it.
• We also prefer around two years of experience as a Charge Nurse.
• Your computer skills need to be solid. You'll be using them.
• And excellent communication isn't just a nice to have here; it's how everything gets done, from mentoring staff to talking with families.

Bushwick Center is a 225 bed rehab and skilled nursing facility right on the border of Brooklyn and Queens. We're big enough to have what we need, but small enough that it doesn't feel impersonal. That size lets us keep things warm and nurturing so every resident can keep their individuality. The practical stuff

The schedule for this one is 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday. It's full time work based right here at our facility in Brooklyn, NY.

Please note: Our base rate starts at $50 per hour. Your final pay will be based on your experience, education, and what you bring to the role during our conversation.
