Barista

What you'll do

You'll run the coffee bar. That means you're making espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages that match brand standards. You'll also prep and serve food items. There's a register/POS to operate, and you'll handle cash and credit card transactions. You'll greet customers and figure out what they need before they ask.

At the end of your shift, you count and organize the cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip, and make deposits. Aramark has cash handling policies, and you'll follow those. You'll set up and break down the coffee bar, station, or store ; that includes cleaning and sanitizing. You'll stock beverage coolers, grab and go items, service ware, and condiments. You'll follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for everything you touch. And you might get other duties from management.

What you need

• Previous customer service experience ; preferred, not required
• Previous cash handling experience ; also preferred
• Previous experience as a barista ; also preferred
• Basic math and counting skills
• You can work independently with limited supervision
• You'll follow the assigned dress code
• You can read and communicate in English and follow recipes
• You must complete Food Handling Certification as required

This role has physical demands: lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. You might need uniforms or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Schedule and pay

This is a full time Barista role in Boston, MA. The hourly rate is $17.50. That's what Aramark expects to offer as of this posting. There's no set application window ; the position closes once a qualified candidate is selected.
