About This Role
What You'll Actually Do
You're joining MANTECH as an Information Technology Assurance Specialist I, working within Special Access Programs (SAPs) that support SSC and AFSPC Operational Units. This isn't your average IT gig ; you'll provide day to day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program activities in Bethesda, MD.
Your real work includes establishing complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems. You'll maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems, and keep documentation current. When something breaks or acts strange, you'll analyze and troubleshoot those system anomalies to get performance back where it needs to be. You'll also prepare systems for operational use and support operational tests.
On the security side, you'll review, prepare, and update AIS accreditation packages. If something changes that might affect accreditation or certification, you notify the customer right away. You perform AIS self inspections, identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures, and make sure all AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of according to policy.
There's more: security coordination on test plans. Guest networks client support. Help desk troubleshooting. Personal Issue Laptop Support. And you'll handle VTC System Administration ; scheduling, configuring ; plus account creations/changes/deletions, hardware/software configuration upgrades and modifications, Media Control & Accountability, and COMSEC account/equipment management.
