Mechatronics Technician

Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults in automated equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to technical schedules to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC ladder logic.
• Calibrate sensors, actuators, and vision systems to ensure precision.
• Document all repairs, parts used, and machine performance data accurately.
• Collaborate with operators and engineers to implement minor upgrades or modifications.

Requirements

• A solid grasp of AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and basic programming logic.
• Hands on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software.
• You've probably spent at least two years fixing industrial equipment on a shop floor.
• A technical degree or certification in mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• The job involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally working in tight spaces.
