HVAC Technician (Commercial)

Brian here. I've been placing folks in engineering roles for over a decade, and this one's a solid opportunity with a firm that genuinely invests in its people. They're looking for a Civil Engineer to work on water and wastewater projects in Baton Rouge, LA.

The Work

You'd be involved from the start of a project through to the finish. That means helping figure out the scope, budget, and schedule, then moving into the design phase where you'd manage and approve work. A big part of the job is keeping clients in the loop with reports and updates.

On any given day, you might be running engineering computations, directing technicians, doing hydraulic modeling, or developing plans and technical specs. You'll use your civil engineering know how on both public and private sector projects focused on water and wastewater systems.

What You Need

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited school.
• At least two years of experience using CAD for design work; AutoCAD Civil 3D is their main software.
• You should also be comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• They'd really like it if you had a Master's degree in a related field.
• Having two or more years working directly in water/wastewater, environmental, or civil engineering is a strong preference.
• Clear writing and communication isn't just a nice to have; it's how you'll coordinate with teams and clients.

The Details & The Good Stuff

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and Fridays from 8 AM until noon. The pay range for this role is $80,000 to $140,000 per year, depending on your experience.
