Financial Controller – Automotive Dealership

All Star Automotive, part of the award winning Hudson Automotive Group, is looking for a hands on Automotive Controller to join our growing accounting team in Baton Rouge, LA. Hudson is one of the largest and fastest growing dealer groups in the Southeast U.S., and we take pride in how we treat customers. What you’ll actually do

• Prepare monthly financial statements and financial forecasts for the dealership.
• Make sure all manufacturer accounts ; warranty claims, rebates, interest protection, co op advertising ; are current and accurate.
• Read the financial statement and the daily operating control (DOC) to spot developing trends and flag them for the store leadership.
• Work closely with the team to create efficiency across every process you touch.
• Drive accuracy in reporting, month end close, and variance analysis.

What we’re looking for

• Prior automotive dealership controllership experience is required. No exceptions here.
• You've prepared monthly financials and forecasts for a dealership before.
• You know your way around manufacturer accounts ; warranty, rebates, co op, all of it.
• You can interpret a financial statement and a DOC and turn that into actionable insights.
• You’re a detail oriented person who works well in a team. We mean that genuinely.
• You communicate clearly, both in writing and face to face.
