CDL-A Driver

Alright, let's talk about this driving job in Baton Rouge, LA. It's a shuttle driver role, which means you're the crucial link moving trailers between our warehouse and the main yard. You'll be running empty trailers to the warehouse, then turning around and bringing loaded ones back. It's essential work that keeps everything flowing.

The Schedule & Pay

This is a full time position. Your schedule runs Sunday through Wednesday, from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM. The target annual pay is up to $75,000.

What You'll Be Doing

• Start and end every shift with a full DOT safety inspection of your tractor and trailer.
• Drive your assigned route, delivering and picking up trailers on schedule.
• Safely hook and unhook trailers at each stop.
• Make sure all freight is properly loaded and secured before you move.
• You're responsible for all your route paperwork and logging your hours of service correctly.
• Bring back any damaged goods or customer returns, with the right paperwork filled out.
• A clean rig is part of the job; general housekeeping in your cab and the dock area is expected.
• Parking equipment in its designated spot at the end of your run is key.

What You Need to Have

• A valid Class A CDL with Doubles/Triples endorsement is mandatory.
• You've got to be at least 21 years old.
• A clean Motor Vehicle Report for the last three years is required.
• Passing a pre employment drug test and a road test are part of the deal.
• You need a valid DOT Medical Card, or be able to get one.
• The job involves handling product; you should be able to lift cases weighing between 60 and 90 pounds and use equipment like two wheelers and lift gates.
• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience rounds it out. And you must meet all state licensing rules where they apply.
