HVAC Installer

The Role

This job is for a Journeyman HVAC Installer who knows their way around residential systems. You're not just swapping out old units; you're installing and modifying existing HVAC equipment, working with all types of related products, and making sure everything meets local codes. You'll troubleshoot, repair, fabricate sheet metal as needed per installation, and spot any electrical, plumbing, or safety issues that come up then fix them.

What You'll Do Day to Day

• Help with advanced applications for home comfort products and train others in installation skills.
• Handle the clerical side of things too complete work orders for each job.
• Work independently on residential heating and air conditioning replacement applications including plumbing, gas piping, flue venting, and sheet metal ducting.
• Keep your truck stocked with proper tools and make sure equipment stays maintained.
• Tackle jobs under direct supervision or on your own applying established procedures to get it done right.

Minimum Qualifications for Journeyman HVAC Installer

• 3 years of experience in residential HVAC installations
• A valid driver's license that meets company driving standards
• A State Journeyman HVAC license at Levels I & II
• CFC Certification
• You can communicate clearly both when speaking and in writing
• A history of solid customer service skills
• Willingness to work overtime when it's needed
• Basic hand tools ready to go for the job requirements
• A working knowledge of sheet metal skills copper piping installations and gas piping installations
• A working knowledge of residential gas furnaces electric heating furnaces and residential hot water heaters

Minimum Qualifications for Sr Journeyman HVAC Installer (Higher Level)

• A State Journeyman HVAC license at Levels I & II plus CFC Certification
• 5 years of experience in residential HVAC installations (not 3 as above)
• The necessary sheet metal tools refrigeration tools troubleshooting tools you need daily for assignments like this one.

The Pay Range
