Registered Nurse

The Role

Rosewood ; a HumanGood community named one of "Best Nursing Homes 2024 2025" by U.S. News & World Report ; is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join its 5 star Skilled Nursing team. This is a full time PM shift position, running from 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

You'll work under general supervision, handling the total nursing needs of residents while keeping HumanGood's "Philosophy for Person Directed Care" front and center. That means you're ensuring a safe, healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors to participate in each resident's daily life rhythm. You'll develop assignments in coordination with care partners and keep every team member accountable for resident care and satisfaction.

Per diem roles also available with open availability on Morning Shift (6:30 AM to 2:30 PM), Day Shift (2:30 PM to 10:30 PM), or Night Shift (10:30 PM to 6:30 AM).

Pay ranges from $37 to $45 per hour, depending on experience.

What You'll Do Day to Day

• Facilitate nursing care for all residents, making sure they're included in decision making processes
• Actively engage residents in daily activities that fit their rhythm of daily life ; including desired hygiene, grooming, and mobility
• Lead and direct care partners by offering support, encouragement, and direction as needed
• Make frequent rounds and use the nursing process to spot resident conditions that need further evaluation or treatment by a physician
• Report significant medical changes to the relevant team members, physician, DON, HSA, and designated family members as appropriate
• Respond to emergencies, carry out physician orders, and document the event, interventions, and outcomes
• Accurately perform direct nursing services ; medication administration, treatments, personal care, and other nursing procedures
• Receive, document, and transcribe physician orders with proper follow through, always advocating for resident safety

What You'll Need

• Completion of a Licensed Registered Nursing Program (RN)
• Current RN license in California
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent clinical observation and assessment skills
• Proficient computer skills to document, review electronic health records, and communicate with the team
