Wound Care RN

The role at a glance

This is a Wound Care RN position with Ascension, based out of Austin, TX. You'll work day shifts, PRN, from 8am to 4:30pm. Travel to Kyle is required. The department is Wound Care, and you'll be working at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin.

What you'll actually do

You'll deliver high level specialized nursing care, applying protocols and your expertise in WOCN or WCC practices. It's about driving better patient outcomes.

• Design and implement patient care plans that you adapt as things change. You keep a close eye on progress and act as the real time link in clinical communication.
• Execute physician orders with precision, using your clinical judgment to assess and intervene when a patient's condition shifts.
• Lead the discharge process. You'll work with the healthcare team to make sure patients are empowered and ready for the next stage of their healing.

What you need to bring

Here are the minimum requirements for this role.

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire. Accepted from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• A Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing.
• A diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, OR required professional licensure at the time of hire.

One year of wound care experience is preferred.
