About This Role

What you're walking into

Global Medical Response needs an Aviation Maintenance Training Instructor. This is a full time remote role based out of Denton, TX. You'll make sure every maintenance task across the company lines up with GMR's core mission and vision. The real goal here is giving our mechanic crews the best internal training and service so they stay sharp, safe, and excellent at what they do.

You'll help build maintenance training curriculums and courses, coordinate training events, and deliver both regular and on the spot training to maintenance personnel. We're talking hydraulics, fuel systems, powertrains and power plants, rotating controls, and overall airframe familiarization across the fleet GMR flies.

What you'll actually do

  • Develop and keep up maintenance training records
  • Stay compliant with confidentiality rules, HIPAA, FAA/PRIA, and other regulations
  • Deliver New Hire training, Aircraft Model Specific training, maintenance tracking software training, Aircraft differences training, and Base Familiarization training to the maintenance department
  • Help maintenance employees with general training questions and needs
  • Assist the Manager, Maintenance Training with technician training programs
  • Coordinate factory, recurrent, and continuing education training
  • Build maintenance Learning Management System training classes
  • Work with the Manager, Maintenance Training to come up with ideas for recurrent training
  • Travel across the U.S. ; up to 25% of the time for local candidates, up to 50% or more for non local candidates

What you need to bring

  • 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • At least 2 years working under CFR part 135 in an Air EMS environment with base duties (including vibration analysis and propeller balancing experience)
  • 2 years of recent experience (within the last 6 months) using RAMCO
  • 2 years of recent experience (within the last 6 months) maintaining or providing formal instruction on any of these aircraft types: Pilatus PC 12, King Air C90/B200/B300 series, AS350, Bell 206, Bell 407, EC130, EC 135, or EC145
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
  • Factory or FAA accepted training on the respective model type aircraft
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems on the respective model type aircraft
  • Valid state issued driver's license
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
  • Knowledge of EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, maintenance support, and planning
  • Must be acceptable under the FAA drug and alcohol testing program
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs

What gives you an edge

  • Experience as a supervisor, project manager, or inspector
  • Deep knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations for maintenance
  • Deep knowledge of aircraft EMS systems from a maintenance perspective

Compensation and perks

Starting salary: $73,296.34 to $103,388.12 annually. If you live more than 60 miles from Denton, TX, you'll get an extra $12,500 allowance. The company covers travel expenses per policy and pays extra for longer stretches away from home. There's also an IA stipend of $2,080.
