About This Role
Who We Need
Torchy's Tacos is looking for a Field Marketing Manager to work out of Austin, TX. This person takes our brand strategies and makes them real at the local level. You'll figure out what each market needs and tailor the marketing to fit. No two days will look the same.
You'll build local marketing plans from scratch. You'll train restaurant operators on how to actually execute those plans. And you'll be out in the field ; hands on ; making sure everything lands the way it should. The goal is to drive guest traffic, build our local presence, and keep Torchy's consistent across every location you touch.
What You'll Do
Market Area Analysis ; You'll dig into each assigned market, identifying the specific needs, challenges, and opportunities. Those insights become the foundation of your local strategy.
Local Marketing Plan Development ; You'll build targeted marketing plans that fit the specific market. They include action steps, visual elements, and clear objectives. And they stay aligned with the broader brand strategy.
Training and Support ; You train the restaurant operators and their teams on how to execute your plans. They get the tools, the resources, and the knowledge to actually make campaigns work.
Event Coordination ; You manage local events, festivals, sponsorships, and promotions. These are the bigger efforts that build guest engagement and reinforce Torchy's in the community. You plan them, you execute them, and you make sure they match the market's needs.
Local Sponsorships ; You evaluate opportunities for local sponsorships. If they fit the brand's goals and drive community engagement, you execute them.
Boots on the Ground Support ; This isn't a desk job. You're in the field helping execute marketing activities. You step in when needed to keep plans running smoothly. You'll be present during key events, weekends, and non standard hours to support the local team.
Brand Consistency ; Every marketing activity you touch reflects Torchy's brand identity. You're the one keeping things consistent across locations and campaigns.
Collaboration ; You work with the broader marketing team, HQ social initiatives, and other brand teams to align local efforts with national campaigns. You also bring feedback from the field back to inform overall strategy.
Performance Tracking ; You measure success by tracking activities, promotions, redemptions, and sales trends. You keep an organized calendar of events and promotions, provide monthly reports to leadership, and participate in quarterly business reviews. The goal is to know if we're getting the results we want.
Relationship Building ; You build and maintain relationships with community partners, vendors, and local stakeholders. You also work on B2B initiatives ; finding collaboration opportunities that elevate Torchy's presence.
NSO Support ; You develop and execute New Store Opening plans for your markets. Marketing initiatives have to be successfully implemented during every launch.
Additional Duties ; Other duties or special projects come up. You handle those too.
How You'll Do It
Be Adaptable ; Market needs shift. You adjust your plans and tactics to stay relevant and effective.
Communicate and Influence ; You lay out marketing plans, expectations, and feedback clearly. Your audience includes restaurant operators, community partners, and leadership. You use influence to get buy in, motivate teams, and keep everyone aligned.
Build Relationships ; Strong relationships with operators, community partners, and stakeholders are how you ensure effective collaboration. That's what elevates Torchy's locally.
Be Proactive ; You spot opportunities for local marketing before they're handed to you. You step in with hands on support to make sure things get executed well.
Organization ; You're managing multiple campaigns, events, and initiatives at once. You keep an organized calendar. Everything you do stays aligned with broader brand goals and deadlines.
