CT Technologist

The Work

You'll be performing advanced CT procedures to create the diagnostic images doctors need. A big part of the job is preparing and positioning pediatric patients for their scans. That means selecting the right technical parameters to get a quality image while providing exceptional care.

You'll administer contrast media and medications within your scope, keeping a close eye on how patients respond and reporting anything unusual to the radiologist and the care team.

• Following strict radiation safety protocols is non negotiable; it’s about protecting patients and maintaining compliance every time.
• You’re collaborating with radiologists and others to make sure clinical documentation is timely and images are submitted correctly to PACS and the Electronic Health Records system.

The Schedule & Details

This is a full time night shift. Your schedule would be Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM. There's also a sign on bonus available for this position.

What You Need to Bring

On the certification front, there are some hard requirements you must meet before or right after starting.

• A BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required within one month (30 days) of hire.
• You must have your Radiologic Technologist credential for General Practice from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program before you start.
• You also need one of these credentials obtained prior to hire: ARRT certification in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy plus either ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography specialty certification.

For education, you need one of these combinations: a High School diploma with 2 years of cumulative experience, an Associate’s or Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
