What You'll Actually Do

You're the Electrophysiology Lab RN. You'll assess patients before, during, and after procedures ; pre, peri, and post. You'll develop plans of care, implement them, then evaluate how things went. You'll direct and monitor the care delegated to non licensed staff and work with the whole team to keep patient care safe and accurate.

• Perform patient assessments throughout the procedure timeline
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, evaluate, and revise the plan of care
• Maintain a safe, aseptic environment in the EP Lab
• Administer medications and complete treatments ordered by physicians
• Ensure all supplies are available; operate and maintain equipment
• Verify each patient has a history and physical documented by a physician before their procedure
• Settle patients after procedures and give detailed reports to the accepting RN
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary team's response during emergencies
• Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with other teams
• Handle specimen testing, quality control work, quality improvement efforts, and equipment maintenance

What You Need to Bring

• A Registered Nurse (RN) license ; associate or bachelor's degree accepted
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification: must be obtained within 90 days of starting
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification: must be obtained within 30 days of starting
