United Site Services

Account Executive

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this job. It's for United Site Services. They're the big name in site services; portable restrooms, temporary fencing, dumpsters, that whole world.

This is a sales role for someone at the start of their career. You'll be focused on finding brand new customers in Austin, TX. Think construction sites, industrial yards, commercial projects, and events. Your main job is to get out there, introduce USS to people who haven't used them before, and build a book of business from scratch.

What you'd be doing

  • Your day is built around prospecting. That means jobsite visits, cold calls, emails, networking; whatever it takes to find new opportunities.
  • You'll identify and qualify leads within your assigned territory or customer segment.
  • A big part of the gig is building relationships with the people who make decisions: superintendents, project managers, estimators, purchasing teams.
  • You'll help prepare quotes and proposals that match what a customer's specific jobsite needs.
  • The goal isn't just one product. You'll learn to cross sell and bundle services to increase the value of each deal.
  • Everything lives in the CRM. Keeping your records accurate and your pipeline up to date is non negotiable.
  • You'll target accounts currently using our competitors; it's about winning that business over.
  • There's a real focus on development here. You'll participate in ride alongs with experienced reps, coaching sessions, and training programs to build your skills fast.
  • Meeting activity metrics and revenue targets is how you measure success and progress toward owning a full territory yourself.
  • Collaboration is key. You'll work with other Account Executives and sales leaders on growth strategies.
  • Staying on top of our products, pricing, and what the competition is doing is part of the routine.

The background we need

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • We're looking for 1 to 3 years of experience in a sales role. This isn't for someone completely fresh out of school; you need some foundational experience under your belt.
  • A valid driver’s license is mandatory. You've got to be able to travel locally to customer locations and jobsites regularly.

The skills that help

The practical stuff

The base salary range for this position is $49,900 – $74,800 per year. On top of that base pay there’s an uncapped commission plan. It’s a full time role where you can expect regular local travel as part of your daily work. This position doesn’t have any direct supervisory responsibilities. The physical demands are what you'd expect for a field based job: frequent sitting while working on a laptop; using hands/fingers for data entry; speaking clearly; hearing and understanding others; good close vision and color perception for driving and reading plans.

Benefits if you're full time

(Eligibility starts for folks working an average of 30+ hours per week.)

  • Holiday & Paid Time Off (pro rated if you're part time)
