About This Role

The Job

Animal Dental Clinic in Aurora, CO is looking for an Associate Veterinarian who wants to focus on something specific: dental care for pets. This isn't a general practice role where you dabble in everything and hope for the best. It's a specialized clinic dedicated solely to dentistry, from routine cleanings all the way up to complex oral surgeries. You'll work with state of the art equipment alongside experienced veterinary dentists and support staff who take this stuff seriously.

What You'll Do

  • Perform routine dental cleanings, exams, and preventive care for dogs and cats
  • Diagnose and treat oral diseases, including periodontal disease, fractures, and tumors
  • Carry out complex oral surgeries like extractions, root canals, and jaw fracture repairs
  • Use digital radiography and other advanced imaging to assess dental health
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs
  • Educate pet owners on preventive at home dental care and follow up plans
  • Collaborate with the team on case management and hospital operations
  • Maintain accurate medical records using practice management software

The Fine Print (Requirements)

  • A DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school ; you've got that already or will soon enough?
  • A Colorado veterinary license (or the ability to get one before you start)
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience; more is better but we're flexible if you have strong skills elsewhere
  • Additional training or certification in dentistry is preferred but not required; we offer on site training if you need it in a specific area
  • Scheduling flexibility ; clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8am 5pm and Saturdays 8am 4pm; this full time role lets us work out what works for both of us within those windows

The Setup & Compensation Details That Matter To You

This position pays between $120k-$130k per year depending on where exactly you land within Aurora, CO , your experience level , plus any relevant certifications . There 's also a production bonus available on top .
