What This Role Is About

Sodexo is hiring an Asset Management Framework Engineering Team Member 1 to support our Campus Segment clients across the country, with a heavy focus on accounts in the east. This is a remote position, but it comes with one big condition: you'll travel 75% of the time. You need to live within an hour of a major airport and hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

This isn't a desk job. You'll be on the road, in the field, crawling under buildings and climbing onto roofs. The people you'll work with are C suite executives at universities and campus operations. You're there to help them solve their toughest building infrastructure problems and develop smart capital renewal plans.

What You'll Actually Do

• Perform capital planning assessments, operational assessments, maintenance assessments, asset management assessments, and energy assessments across campus portfolios
• Address operational, maintenance, and compliance issues involving HVAC systems, building automation systems, electrical systems, fire and safety systems, and other building equipment
• Stay current on industry trends specific to universities and campus operations; then incorporate those into Sodexo's offer portfolio and business strategy
• Help maintain internal brand consistency by building strong relationships with operations team members so solutions actually work
• Set up effective systems that drive value for clients through superior performance
• Navigate Sodexo's internal landscape ; negotiate service level agreements, build relationships across departments ; to serve client needs better
• Support business development and client retention by bringing technical expertise, service excellence, and education to both internal teams and external clients
• Audit sites regularly to collect equipment data and develop capital renewal prioritization plans
• Prepare executive level presentations for facilities operations teams and clients using digital media tools like photo editing software alongside Excel and MS Office Suite products
• Write technical reports that explain findings clearly to non technical stakeholders
• Develop standardized processes and best practices for facilities engineering tasks: predictive maintenance, preventive maintenance facility assessments operational excellence initiatives across campus markets

The Physical Reality of This Job

Let's be direct about this part. You have to stand for hours at a time. Climb ladders regularly. Walk three to five miles in a single day over surfaces that range from wet floors to gravel roofs. Bending kneeling repeated access narrow tight passages crawl into small mechanical spaces nothing glamorous here just honest physical work done safely.

What You Need To Bring With You

• A legitimate engineering degree ; not optional this is required hard stop.
• 3–5 years of successful experience as a Facilities Director or equivalent role; specifically Hard FM knowledge in our campus segment including building infrastructure utility systems central heating cooling plants MEP architectural features waste management systems asset management mechanical electrical engineering all counts heavily here.
- Mastery of computer tools: Excel specifically (we mean real mastery not just comfortable) AND all MS Office Suite products AND digital arts skills modifying photos other electronic media producing polished visual presentations. - Experience writing technical reports that non engineers can actually understand act on. - Demonstrated history creating innovative solution oriented approaches improving Hard FM services not just maintaining status quo. - A communication style built around influencing collaborating strategic thinking strong executive presence professional polish when presenting findings site ops teams university leadership or C suite executives.
