
About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this outpatient RN role in Atlanta, GA. It's a different pace than the hospital floor. You're working directly with patients who are coming in for care, managing their ongoing health, and building those longer term relationships. What you'd be doing
You'd be providing treatment under the supervision of a physician or an advanced practice nurse. It's general medical services, so your day is pretty varied.
- Performing physical exams and getting a full patient history.
- Your tasks include administering treatments; think immunizations or drawing blood.
- A big part of the job is patient education, especially for folks managing chronic conditions like asthma or diabetes.
- You're providing ongoing care to patients within the clinic setting.
The schedule & details
This one's on a 4x10 schedule. That means four days a week, ten hours each shift, during the day.
Who you are
You're an RN with experience in an ambulatory or outpatient clinic. You know how to run a room efficiently, connect with patients quickly, and handle the flow of a clinic. Experience with patient education and chronic disease management is what they need here.
The basics
- You need an active RN license for the state where you'll be working.
- Experience as an Ambulatory Care Clinic RN or in a similar outpatient nursing role is required.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is also required.
