TRC Talent Solutions is working with JTS Health Partners to fill Revenue Cycle Specialist positions. This is a fully remote, full time job on their Revenue Cycle Management team.
If you've got hospital back end billing, denials management, or cash applications experience under your belt, this role could be a good fit. You'll be analyzing accounts, chasing down underpayments, appealing denials, and making sure reimbursements land correctly. You'll talk to payers, patients, and providers to get it all done.
What you'll actually do
- Look at accounts to spot underpayments, billing errors, and denied claims.
- Review EOBs, remittances, and payer documents to clear up outstanding claims.
- Submit appeals, reconsiderations, and corrected claims for denied or underpaid accounts.
- Talk with payers, patients, and clients on the phone and through written correspondence.
- Navigate payer portals like Availity, Optum, MMIS, and Medicare contractors.
- Work aged accounts receivable reports and resolve credit balances.
- Use Lean process improvement techniques to make daily workflows smoother.
- Follow payer requirements, standard work procedures, and company policies.
What you need to bring
- At least 1 year of hospital back end revenue cycle experience (denials, billing, cash applications, that kind of thing). Or 2+ years in an accounting or finance environment.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Solid skills in Microsoft Excel and the rest of the MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of claim submission, insurance follow up, and remittance analysis.
- Good analytical and problem solving chops. Communication matters too.
- You'll need to manage your time and stay organized without someone hovering.
What would set you apart
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- HFMA Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR/ACPAR) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR).
- Experience with Lean process improvement methods.
