Dental Hygienist

Tend·Atlanta, GA

About This Role

What you'll do here

You're delivering top tier preventive care in a modern studio. You'll have a dedicated dental assistant working with you, so you can focus on the clinical work while they handle sterilization and room turnover. Your schedule will be well booked.

The core of your day is providing comprehensive care that follows evidence based guidelines. That includes prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing (SRP), gingivitis scaling, oral cancer screenings, Itero scans, sealants, Zoom whitening, Perio Protect, Curodont applications, fluoride treatments, and patient education.

  • Partner with dentists for hygiene exams to identify needs and recommend treatment plans.
  • Your goal is to proactively drive hygiene production by maximizing chair time and supporting same day treatment opportunities.
  • Maintain strong patient relationships through clear communication and personalized education.
  • Collaborate closely with the whole studio team; doctors, assistants, operations; to make sure patient care is seamless.
  • There are CE opportunities, internal forums, and peer collaboration for your ongoing development.

The person we're hoping to meet

You value autonomy but also love being part of a real team. You crave efficiency in your workflow and take genuine pride in high performance care. At Tend, how we work matters as much as what we do.

  • You tend to others by delivering great experiences for patients and collaborating well with teammates.
  • You're brave enough to lead; you take initiative to solve problems and improve clinical care.
  • You can savor the ride by celebrating wins and staying positive.
  • You embrace differences by communicating with respect and valuing diverse perspectives.
  • You're rooted in growth; you seek feedback and are committed to continuous learning.

A few practical competencies that make this role click: you earn trust through honesty. You work together fluidly across different functions. And you adapt with ease when priorities shift.

Your background

  • A degree from an accredited dental hygiene program is required.
  • You need a current, active hygiene license for the state you're applying in.
  • A current Anesthesia/Nitrous license is needed where applicable by state law.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
  • You should be comfortable with digital charting, x rays, intraoral cameras, and technology driven care systems.

Scheduling & physical requirements

We have a few scheduling options. There's full time at 32–40 hours a week; part time at 2–3 days a week; or PRN where you work when you want. All roles include AM/PM shifts and require availability for Saturday shifts as scheduled.

The job has physical demands essential to performing it. Reasonable accommodations can be made if needed.

The details on pay & support

The pay structure is an hourly rate plus a monthly bonus based on your production. Top earning hygienists here make up to $78 an hour when you combine the base rate with bonus potential. There's transparency around how it works; no surprises. And here’s how we support you:
