What you'll be doing

You'll report to the Director of Patient Care Service. Your main job is to make sure everything; from patient safety to staff development; runs smoothly and effectively. It's about blending clinical oversight with day to day operations.

• Lead the clinical and operational functions for your area, making sure patient care is seamless from start to finish.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate systems that deliver high quality, safe, and cost effective care.
• You're accountable for your team's performance, quality metrics, safety standards, compliance, finances, and overall efficiency.
• Foster a collaborative culture within inter professional teams. Think accountability, excellence, and mutual respect.
• Oversee staff onboarding, competency assessments, coaching, and their ongoing professional development.
• Manage workforce needs based on organizational goals, staffing plans, and the budget you're given.
• Lead quality and safety initiatives that align with our broader objectives and the Magnet® model.
• Execute financial and productivity plans for your unit.
• Work with division leadership to monitor patient safety and quality goals across the entire care continuum.
• Identify and put evidence based practices into action to enhance safety and reduce risk.
• Manage team performance. That means providing feedback and addressing any issues with patient care or professional conduct head on.
• Ensure everyone complies with regulatory standards, accreditation rules, and our own internal policies.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing data, solving problems, and keeping an eye on key performance indicators.
