Airport Operations Agent

Job Overview

Airport operations keep everything moving. As an Airport Operations Agent, you're the person making sure flights depart on time, passengers get where they need to go, and safety protocols are followed. It's a hands on role where you'll work across terminals, tarmacs, and gate areas in Atlanta, GA. You'll coordinate with airline crews, ground staff, and security teams. Things change fast out there; weather delays, equipment issues, last minute gate changes. You handle it.

• Monitor flight schedules ; Update departure and arrival boards. Communicate delay information to passengers and ground crew.
• Coordinate boarding processes. Verify tickets, manage gate assignments, and ensure passengers board efficiently.
• Inspect ramp areas. Check for debris or hazards near aircraft movement zones. Report any issues immediately.
• Assist with baggage handling. Oversee load distribution for weight balance. Direct cargo loading crews as needed.
• Complete incident reports. Document any safety violations, passenger incidents, or equipment malfunctions.
• Liaise with airline dispatchers. Relay operational updates regarding fuel requests, catering needs, or maintenance calls.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to work outdoors. This role spends significant time on the ramp in all weather; rain, heat, cold winds.
• Must pass a background check and airport security clearance, including fingerprinting through TSA regulations in Atlanta, GA.
• Clean driving record if operating vehicles on the airfield, such as tugs or shuttles.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during a shift.
