Prep Cook

Hey there. We need a prep cook in Arlington, VA who knows their way around a real kitchen. This isn't just another line cook gig; it's with Design Cuisine, where we handle high volume catering and events that require actual skill and attention.

The Work

You'll be doing the foundational work that makes our events run. That means prepping ingredients from scratch, making sure every portion is right, and helping with creative plating. You're also responsible for keeping your station organized, storing food correctly, and following all our safety procedures and recipes to the letter.

What You Need to Bring

• At least one year of experience in a quality, high volume kitchen that does scratch cooking.
• A solid understanding of standard culinary methods and techniques.
• The focus to handle multiple tasks without letting details slide.
• Experience using standard kitchen equipment and the ability to identify different food products.
• You've also got to have some customer service experience under your belt.

A current food handler’s certification would be a great bonus.

Schedule & Pay

This is a full time, onsite position. The pay range is $20 to $26 per hour, and you'll be paid every week. The schedules can be flexible, which helps when you're balancing life outside the kitchen.
