About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this RN role on the Medical Unit at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, AK.

The Work

You're providing direct patient care. That means building an individualized plan for each person from the ground up; you'll assess them, plan their care, and see it through.

Your day is built around collaboration. You're working with patients and their families, keeping developmental, cultural, and age specific needs in mind. You'll communicate directly with physicians about clinical conditions and diagnostic results. And when a patient's condition changes; you're the one responding quickly and accurately.

What You Need to Have

First things first: a current State of Alaska Registered Nurse license. Your degree needs to be an Associate’s in Nursing at minimum; a BSN is preferred.

For certifications, you must have both Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS or ACLS) from either the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. If you've got chemotherapy certification, that's a definite plus.
