The Role
At Alaska Regional Hospital, we're looking for a Clinical Quality Coordinator to own the coordination, development, implementation, and evaluation of processes tied to clinical quality measures. You won't just manage data ; you'll help shape how quality happens across our entire system.
This role sits right at the center of operations. You'll work as a liaison between staff, management, and physicians for assigned quality measures. It's a job where you get to build real relationships while pushing for better patient outcomes.
What You'll Actually Do
- Design, implement, and maintain all educational processes related to assigned quality measures for leadership, staff, and physicians
- Conduct focused department surveys per the Quality Director; then request and prepare reports of the results as directed
- Monitor compliance to assigned quality metrics, analyze trends, and work with the Quality Director, Quality Medical Director, CMO, and multi disciplinary teams in performance improvement processes
- Involve staff in developing individual and departmental goals tied to quality measures
- Maintain clinical statistics and data, then report results with concrete measures for improvement
- Take direct responsibility for continuous quality improvement with an emphasis on evidence based practices
- Function as a resource to physicians and all departments by participating in assigned standing meetings related to quality measures
- Participate in studies, data collection, abstraction, and analysis related to quality measures
- Collaborate with the Quality Director to ensure compliance with State and Federal Regulations, Joint Commission Standards, and Corporate standards for clinical quality measures
What You Need
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska, in good standing
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required); BSN is preferred
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification ; preferred
- Minimum three years of RN and/or Quality Improvement experience (required)
- Previous data analysis, Excel, or coding experience ; strongly preferred
- Hospital inpatient experience ; strongly preferred
Schedule
This is a full time position at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Specific shift details will be discussed during the interview process.
