No Ordinary Manager Role

This isn't just another leadership opening. Alaska Regional Hospital needs a Manager for their Endo, PACU, and PreOp units in Anchorage, AK. You will run day to day operations, shape the culture, and keep your team focused on what matters most: the patient and their family. What You Will Actually Do

  • Assist the Director with planning, administering, and evaluating all operations in the Endo, PACU, and PreOp units.
  • Model and sustain patient and family centered care while directing your staff as they treat patients and educate families.
  • Take accountability for the standards and scope of nursing practice within your unit.
  • Work closely with the Director on department staffing: hiring, evaluating, guiding, disciplining, and scheduling.
  • Stay composed and professional under pressure ; this is a fast clinical environment and your team will look to you.
  • Develop and communicate a shared vision for your department that aligns with the hospital's broader mission.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses in staff performance and work with individuals on training and development.
  • Coordinate functions with staff, physicians, and other hospital departments, always focused on patient throughput and needs.

What You Need to Bring

  • A current Alaska nursing license in good standing.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification ; you can get this within 30 days of hire.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ALS or ACLS) certification is preferred.
  • Two years of clinical experience in Preop, PACU, or Endo is required. Experience in all three areas is preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience is required.
