What You'll Actually Be Doing
You're the first person a guest sees when they arrive and the last when they leave. That's a lot of pressure, sure, but it's also the heart of this job. You'll greet everyone ; VIP travelers, pilots, crew ; with genuine warmth and professionalism. You'll escort them to the lobby, out to their aircraft, or to a waiting car. And you'll handle it all with a calm, attentive energy that makes people feel taken care of, even when things get busy.
- Meet and greet guests and crew as they arrive. Walk them to the front entrance, the aircraft, or a vehicle.
- Work closely with the whole team to make sure every service gets handled fast and courteously. That means passing accurate information between guests, the terminal office, and other departments.
- Process guest purchases and fuel transactions using company systems. You may also help with some light accounting and record keeping.
- Arrange pretty much anything a traveler needs: hotel stays, rental cars, ground transportation, catering, customs appointments. You're the concierge they didn't know they had.
- Handle questions, complaints, billing disputes, and special requests. You're the fixer.
- Know the facility inside and out ; our services, website, and the surrounding area ; so you can answer whatever gets thrown at you.
- Monitor flights as they arrive and depart. Use SIGops or SIGnet to log and schedule services and keep everything running smoothly.
- Make sure every departing aircraft has what they need: catering, coffee, ice, newspapers.
- Stock amenities in the lobby and pilot areas. Keep those spaces ; including restrooms ; clean and clutter free.
- Promote and sell Signature's services to passengers and crew.
- Help with luggage. Drive guests to the commercial terminal, a hotel, or anywhere nearby. Handle special requests.
- Set pilots up with weather info, computers, and portal access.
- Check IDs and verify everyone on the ramp against security procedures.
- Stop any work if you see something unsafe. Report it to a manager and help fix it.
- Follow emergency response procedures during critical incidents.
- Comply with all security protocols ; physical, cyber, and data.
- Log your time and every service you perform. Use our contact management system to track guest preferences so you can personalize their next visit.
- Help the Airside Experience team: valet cars, wing walk, set chocks and cones, position stairs or jetways.
- Assist with passenger service functions at certain locations when needed.
What You Need to Bring
This isn't an entry level gig for someone who just wants a paycheck. It's for someone who genuinely cares about service and can stay sharp when things get chaotic. Here's what's required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of customer facing work in retail, hospitality, or sales is preferred.
- A valid state driver's license.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You'll need to pass company background checks (criminal and motor vehicle) and drug tests. You also have to meet airport background check requirements to get and keep an airport security badge. You must be insurable under the company's insurance policies.
- Legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. This isn't a 9 to 5 job.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, often near active aircraft and ground service equipment.
Hours and Schedule
This is a full time position, and you'll need to be available for varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The specific schedule is determined by location and operational needs.
