About This Role
What you'll do as a Journeyman Truck Technician (Swing Shift)
You'll be working on medium and heavy duty class 7 & 8 trucks right here in the shop at Anchorage, AK. The work is hands on and the goal is simple: get repairs done accurately and on time, so our customers can get back on the road. When a truck breaks down, you're the person we trust to bring it back to life ; and you'll do it right the first time. Beyond that, you'll serve as a leader that other technicians look to for guidance and expertise.
This role isn't just about turning wrenches. You'll be diagnosing complex truck malfunctions and system failures, then figuring out the best way to get the truck running at peak performance again. That could mean repairing or rebuilding cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, or air systems. You'll also be maintaining and servicing trucks to keep them reliable, minimize downtime, and extend the life of each vehicle. It takes sound judgment, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to the highest standards of safety and quality.
You'll work Monday through Friday, from 3:30pm to midnight.
