About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this driving job. It's not just a route; it's the main artery of the business. You're the one getting product from our dock to the customer's door, and that comes with a real sense of ownership. Here's what the day looks like and what you'll need to bring.
What you'll do on the road
Your primary mission is safe, timely delivery. That means early starts; we're talking a 4 AM kickoff, Monday through Saturday. You'll be handling a mix of unloading: using two wheelers, pallet jacks, and sometimes just your hands to get product exactly where the customer needs it.
- Run all pre trip and post trip inspections like your livelihood depends on it. Because it does.
- Verify every delivery for accuracy with the customer and get the proper signatures.
- There's a service element, too. You might handle a payment or collection on occasion.
- It’s physical work. You're lifting and carrying items from 20 to over 80 pounds repeatedly during your shift.
- The schedule has you making frequent stops; think 10 or more per day; in all kinds of weather.
What we need from you
These aren't nice to haves; they're the non negotiables for getting in the seat.
- A valid Class A CDL from your state of residence, with all necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry. If your experience is in food/beverage delivery, we only require three months.
- The ability to read and communicate in English for conversations, understanding road signs, official inquiries, and paperwork.
- Mandatory registration in the FMCSA Clearinghouse database before you start. It's a federal DOT rule for all CDL holders.
A quick note: knowing how to drive a manual transmission is a plus. For some specific routes around Anchorage, AK, it might be required.
Pay & Schedule
The base rate for this role is $35 per hour. The expected range for this position is between $34 and $37 per hour, depending on your specific experience and other factors laid out by law. You're also eligible for overtime pay on top of that rate.
This is a full time position starting at 4:00 AM, Monday through Saturday.
How we support you
Benefits start on your very first day. That’s not common, and we’re proud of it.
- Health insurance coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans.
- A 401(k) retirement plan to help you save for later.
- Life insurance and both short term and long term disability coverage are provided.
- Paid time off for when you need a break.
