About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this Cardiac Surgical Unit role at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, AK. I've been placing nurses here for years, and they run a tight ship. They've got the tools and the support staff so you can actually focus on nursing.

What You'll Be Doing

You're the Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for the cardiac surgical unit. Your main job is making sure the care delivered is high quality and centered on the patient. You'll coordinate everything that happens on the floor.

  • Help get patients admitted and discharged smoothly.
  • You're the go to resource for your staff, helping to create a better experience for patients.
  • Team up with experts and managers to find ways to improve outcomes and service.
  • A big part of this is coaching. You'll give feedback and training to help your team perform better and feel more engaged.
  • The schedule also comes across your desk; you'll assist with putting it together.

What You Need to Bring

They're pretty specific on the certs here. No wiggle room on these dates.

  • You need an Associate Degree and a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Your Basic Cardiac Life Support certification has to be sorted within your first week on the job.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required, but you have 90 days from your start date to get it.

The Schedule & Pay

This is a full time position. We can go over the specific shift details when we connect. The pay range is competitive for Anchorage, AK and varies based on your experience. The benefits package is where they really shine, honestly.

The total rewards package covers health, life, career, and retirement. It's comprehensive.

  • Medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine coverage are all included.
  • They have wellbeing programs with free counseling services.
  • Time off includes paid time off programs and paid family leave. Disability coverage for both short term and long term situations is there if you need it.
  • The 401(k) plan has a match: they'll 100% match what you put in from 3% up to 9% of your pay, depending on how long you've been there.
  • There's also an Employee Stock Purchase Plan available.
  • Education support is real. Tuition assistance, student loan help, money for certifications. They even have a partnership with Galen College of Nursing because HCA Healthcare owns part of it.
  • The list keeps going: adoption assistance, life insurance options, auto and home insurance discounts, legal counseling. It's a lot to take in during one conversation; we can break it down later.
