NTD Data Manager
MV Transportation is looking for an NTD Data Manager in Anchorage, AK. This isn't a bus driving role; it's the person who makes sure every piece of data we report to the FTA is accurate, complete, and on time. If you've got a head for numbers and a knack for wrangling spreadsheets, this could be your kind of gig.
What You'll Actually Do
You will own the entire NTD reporting process from start to finish. That means collecting data from operations, finance, safety, and maintenance ; then verifying it's right before it goes out the door. You'll compile monthly and annual reports covering financials, operations, safety, maintenance, and asset information. And you'll be our primary contact during any FTA review process, working directly with agency staff to resolve questions or issues.
- Oversee data collection from departments like operations, finance, safety, and maintenance
- Develop and maintain procedures for accurate data gathering and management
- Serve as the subject matter expert and agency liaison for all NTD reporting
- Run quality control checks before any submission goes live
- Ensure every report follows federal requirements including NTD, ADA, and other FTA regulations
- Analyze performance data to spot trends and suggest process improvements
- Build performance metrics dashboards for leadership to track key indicators
- Help with strategic planning by using NTD insights to guide decisions
- Stay current on new or changing FTA rules so we're always in compliance
- Work with transit tech systems like GPS tracking, automated fare collection (AFC), and maintenance software for data capture
- Coordinate with IT to keep databases and reporting tools running smoothly
- Support integration of reporting platforms so data flows easily between departments
The Kind of Person We Need
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
