Job Overview

This is a straightforward role for someone who enjoys being behind the wheel and interacting with people. As a Bus Driver based in Anaheim, CA, you'll be responsible for safely operating a transit bus on a set route. The work is steady, the hours are predictable, and you'll get to know your regular passengers well. It's not glamorous work, but it's honest and keeps the city moving.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive a passenger bus along designated city routes within Anaheim, CA.
• Pick up and drop off passengers at scheduled stops while sticking to a timetable. Traffic happens, but you'll manage delays as they come.
• Collect fares or verify passes on systems that change between operators ; some use digital cards, others still take cash.
• Perform basic pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections: checking tires, lights, brakes, fluid levels. If something's off, you flag it before heading out.
• Help passengers with questions about routes or transfers. You're the face of transit in Anaheim, CA so patience goes a long way.
• Keep the bus clean during your shift and report any mechanical issues or passenger incidents immediately after dropping off everyone safely.

Requirements

• A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement is mandatory ; no exceptions.
• A clean driving record for at least three years prior to application. Employers look hard at this one.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred though not always required if you have several years of driving experience behind you already.

The physical side:
