Job Overview

This is a hands on role for a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Amarillo, TX area. You'll work directly with patients, helping them regain movement and manage pain under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities.

• Document patient responses and progress notes after each session.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safety techniques.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

• An associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• A current, active license or eligibility to practice as a PTA in the state where Amarillo, TX is situated.
• CPR/BLS certification is typically required.
• The stamina to be on your feet most of the day, assisting patients with mobility which can include lifting or supporting them.
• A clear understanding of your scope of practice and when to consult the supervising PT.
