Outside Sales Representative

This is a door to door sales role in Amarillo, TX. You'll be the face of Optimum, meeting people where they are and introducing them to our services: high speed internet, TV, mobile, and voice.

Every day's different. You're out in the field, talking to new people, figuring out what they need, and putting together a package that makes sense for them. It's about building a connection first, then closing the deal.

What you'll do

• Meet with potential customers at their homes to discuss their telecom needs.
• Craft personalized packages from our full suite of products and services.
• Know our latest offerings, pricing, and tech inside and out so you can answer any question.
• Present the benefits of our products clearly and handle any concerns on the spot.
• Negotiate and finalize sales agreements.
• Complete all necessary paperwork, contracts, and sales reports accurately after each sale.
• Provide support after the sale to build lasting relationships with customers.
• Work with your local team to share insights and strategies for hitting goals.
• Aim to meet or exceed your monthly sales targets consistently.
• Follow all company policies and industry regulations in your work.

The basics we need from you

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• You need solid communication skills; you can negotiate and solve problems on your feet.
• A self starter who's comfortable working independently most of the time.
• Good enough with computers and tech to help find customer solutions during a sale.
• A reliable personal vehicle (where applicable), valid driver's license in good standing within your state of residence, car insurance, and a clean driving record are all mandatory. You must maintain that valid license while employed here.

The physical side of things

The job involves sitting, standing, and walking throughout your shift. You have to be able to work full time hours as scheduled.

< Bilingual skills are a big plus for communicating with diverse customers. A real passion for sales and hitting targets. The ability to listen to a customer’s situation and genuinely tailor your approach. Strong interpersonal skills—you know how to build rapport quickly. Deep knowledge of mobile or fixed-line telecom products helps immensely. You stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor moves. Comfortable using digital tools like CRM systems point-of-sale software; you can adapt to new tech without much fuss.
