About This Role
The Work
You'll be at the heart of how our nursing center operates, making sure we're properly reimbursed for the care we provide. That means you're deep in the patient assessment process.
You'll handle MDS completion and the accompanying Care Area Assessments. You'll help develop individualized care plans, identifying patient needs and outcomes as federal and state rules require.
- Follow all RAI guidelines for completing, encoding, and transmitting the MDS.
- Spot changes in a patient's condition with the interdisciplinary team; then coordinate scheduling for any follow up assessments.
- Your expertise helps train others. You'll assist with ADL training for new hires and provide ongoing education to existing staff.
- Keeping current is part of the job. You'll attend educational programs on the latest RAI and Prospective Payment System regulations.
What You Need
A few things aren't negotiable here. You need to be a Registered Nurse with a current, in good standing state license.
We also need you to have worked in a healthcare facility before; a hospital, long term care place, something similar. And you've got to have prior experience completing MDSs and Care Plans yourself.
- You should know general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing practices inside and out.
- A solid understanding of the laws, regulations, and guidelines for long term care is essential.
The Details & Pay
This is a full time position. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Seriously; walk in applications are welcomed during those hours if that's your style.
The pay range is $42.00 to $45.00 per hour.
