
About This Role
This is a flying job that actually matters
If you're an experienced fixed wing pilot who wants to use your skills for something real ; not just moving cargo from A to B ; this role at Global Medical Response in Albuquerque, NM might be it. You'll fly a King Air 200 on medical air transportation trips, working alongside medical crews who depend on you to get patients where they need to go safely and quickly.
Your schedule runs 7 days on and 7 days off. Trips happen during the day and at night. The position comes with company paid crew housing, which is a solid perk for anyone commuting in.
What you'll actually do
- Work directly with a team of medical professionals to transport customers between locations and healthcare facilities
- Make sure the aircraft is ready for every dispatch according to the appropriate manuals, all FAA requirements, and company policies (that includes keeping the plane clean)
- Keep accurate records for every shift ; load manifests, flight documentation, anything regulatory requires
- Talk and coordinate regularly with air and ground dispatch, other flight crews, facilities, and partner organizations
- Give a thorough shift change briefing to the pilot taking over, following protocols for recording details on the company change board
- Stay current with all certifications and complete ongoing ground and air training as required
The minimum requirements (no shortcuts here)
- A Commercial Airplane Multi Engine Land (C AMEL) certificate ; that's non negotiable
- A willingness to obtain an ATP within 5 years of starting
- A valid driver's license that hasn't expired
- A current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate
- 2,500 total flight hours 1,000 PIC hours
- 500 cross country hours
- 500 multi engine hours
- 100 night hoursminimum 75 instrument hourstotal (with at least 50 actual)
