Nurse Manager

The Role

A nursing unit at Ladera Center needs a Nurse Manager ; an RN who will own clinical and operational outcomes on their assigned floor. You're accountable for care quality, cost effectiveness, and keeping patients, families, and your team satisfied. You'll make sure everything aligns with Genesis Healthcare's mission and values, plus state regulations and licensing rules.

You won't just manage from an office. You'll work alongside the Director of Nursing to keep coverage right so patient care stays safe. You'll sit in with the interdisciplinary team to set patient goals and cut down on rehospitalizations. And you'll mentor nurses, collaborate with physicians and other medical pros, and be the go to resource for your unit on service quality.

Medication management is part of it ; making sure supplies are stocked and every med is handled per policy. And yes, you'll also jump in and provide direct patient care along with your nurses.

What you need

• A degree from an accredited nursing school
• Your path depends on what you hold: Associate Degree in Nursing means three years of nursing experience; a Nursing Diploma also requires three years; if you have a BSN, two years of experience does it
• At least one year of nurse leadership experience ; that's non negotiable
• A current RN license from the State Board of Examiners of Nurses where this center operates
• A current BLS/CPR certification that stays current

Compensation & benefits

The posted salary range runs from $41.00 to $48.00 per hour.
