The Gig
This is a local CDL A driving job in Albuquerque, NM that gets you home daily. No layovers, no overnights away from home. You'll be the person keeping restaurant shelves stocked and customers happy. It's more than just driving ; you're the face of the company on every stop.
What You'll Actually Do
- Operate a diesel powered tractor trailer on local routes around Albuquerque, NM
- Deliver food products safely and efficiently to restaurant customers
- Load and unload freight using hand trucks or pallet jacks ; this is a touch freight role with repetitive lifting
- Complete vehicle inspections and keep DOT logs current and accurate
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, store personnel, and teammates
- Handle return loads and keep all equipment and deliveries in compliance
- Submit paperwork properly after each shift
What You Need to Bring
- A valid Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card
- At least 2 years of tractor trailer driving and delivery experience
- The ability to lift 5 to 75+ lbs. and stay active through the whole shift
- Comfort working in multi temperature environments ; that means coolers and freezers
- Strong customer service instincts and clear communication skills
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays (it's a 24/7 operation)
- The ability to read and speak English as required by DOT regulations
Schedule & Setting
You'll need to be available for nights, weekends, and holidays. The typical schedule is a 4 day work week. All trailers are equipped with lift gates ; no ramps involved. Expect touch freight with repetitive lifting of 75+ lbs.
Pay & Benefits
- $75,000 annual salary
- Weekly pay ; every Friday
