What You'll Actually Do

You'll work one on one with children with autism. Under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you'll implement individualized behavior intervention plans. The techniques you use are evidence based, and they're designed to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. It's real work with real kids.

Each day is different. Children can be unpredictable and sometimes confrontational, so this role isn't for the faint of spirit, mind, or body. But here's the thing: at the end of each day, you go home knowing you made a meaningful impact on a child and their family.

Physical Reality Check

Our clients move ; so you need to be comfortable moving too. This means standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds. It's part of the job and honestly part of the fun.

Who You Are

Passionate about helping children with autism
Patient and compassionate
Able to work well in a team environment
18 years of age or older
Hold a high school diploma or GED
Able to obtain a CPR certification and First Aid certification (if you don't already have them)
Able to get a Tuberculosis test if you haven't had one in the last year
Able to pass a preemployment background check

The Certification Timeline

You don't need experience coming in. We provide comprehensive training to equip you for each child. But within 45 days of completing onboarding requirements, you'll need your Registered Behavior Technician Certification. We'll help you get there.

Pay Range

$16 - $23 per hour. Actual pay depends on qualifications, performance, experience, and seniority.
