The Opportunity

Goodwin Recruiting is working with a well established law firm that needs an experienced attorney to support high net worth probate matters within its Estate Planning and Probate practice group. This role is built for someone who isn't afraid to take the lead, work directly with partners and clients, and bring a strategic mindset to every case. It's not just about grinding through documents; it's about owning the work from start to finish.

You'll be in the office 100% of the time. That's a firm requirement.

What You'll Actually Do

• Manage and support high net worth probate and estate administration matters from start to finish
• Prepare trust and estate accountings, plus estate and fiduciary tax returns
• Draft legal documents, conduct legal research, and build strategic approaches for each case
• Work closely with partners to deliver effective, personalized client solutions
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and professionalism
• Collaborate with internal teams to make sure matters are executed on time and efficiently

What You Need to Bring

• Active membership in the Washington State Bar (that's non negotiable)
• An LLM, a CPA, or a Masters of Tax (one of these three is required)
• Experience administering taxable estates, including accountings and tax return preparation
• Strong drafting, writing, and legal research skills ; you'll be using them every day
• Excellent interpersonal and client facing communication abilities
• The ability to take initiative and operate in a leadership capacity on matters
